Leigh Lurie, MD brings several years of experience and a strong academic background to Fallsgrove Endoscopy Center. Originally from Wisconsin, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Neuroscience and earned her Medical Degree from Medical College of Wisconsin. She then moved to Washington, DC to attend George Washington University for her internal medicine residency. She worked as an internist for several years before pursuing her longtime goal of becoming a gastroenterologist, and went on to complete her gastroenterology fellowship within the New York Presbyterian system.

Prior to joining Capital Digestive Care, Dr. Lurie served as a hospitalist for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians at Suburban Hospital, and as a primary care physician at the General Internal Medicine Group.

Dr. Lurie is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. She enjoys playing golf and tennis, as well as spending time with her husband and son.
